Statement on masks for String Fling 2022: For the health and safety of all, students, teachers, and parents are required to wear a mask at all times while on the K-State campus, except during lunch. Those who do not comply with the City of Manhattan and K-State campus mask mandate will be dismissed from String Fling. These are requirements beyond the purview of String Fling staff and must be adhered to in order to participate. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please make sure to address them before attending String Fling. 1/13/22: The gates will be open for the parking garage this year, so take advantage of the free covered parking there! Cars and school vans welcome. Buses will have to drop students off and park in one of the lots outlined in blue on the map below. Use the 17th St entrance and let students out at the Plaza next to the traffic circle; the Union will be on the left.

All rooms EXCEPT Forum Hall are located on the 2nd floor of the Union. Parking on the "Bridge" level of the parking garage leads onto the 1st floor, An elevator is immediately to your right when you enter the building. Go up one flight, turn right out of the elevator and proceed down the hallway to: Room 227: Look for the hallway on the left immediately past the "Cat's Pause" Lounge. Room 227 is at the end of the hallway and to the left. Main Ballroom:Go to the end of the hall, turn left, and enter where it says "Grand Ballroom" (The Main Ballroom is part of the Grand Ballroom) Bluemont Room: Go to the end of the hallway, turn left just past the Grand Ballroom entrance, and the room is on the right down the hallway.
Forum Hall: From the "Plaza" level of the parking garage, walk into the Union and up a short flight of stairs. Forum Hall will be on your right, across from the Union Bookstore. There is a small elevator directly opposite the entrance doors to bypass the stairs as needed.
Concert Order and Location:
The current plan is to have all groups play in Forum Hall. Please check on concert day in case that changes!
9:30: 7A 9:50: 7B 10:10: 8/9A 10:30 8/9B Students will return to their rehearsal rooms after playing, where parents can meet them. After an orchestra plays, they are free to go!
